New Projects Home, Observation Profile Builder & Rebuilt Interface

4 August 2026

The largest release in Twinsity’s history. The interface has been rebuilt from the ground up, project management has moved into a single home, and a new builder lets your team define exactly what it records against an Observation and how.

A single home for your projects
Projects, workspaces, people and Observation Profiles now sit in one place, with projects as a sortable table and one switcher for organisations and workspaces. Inspect, AI Review and Report sit as tabs inside a project. Available on all plans.
Observation Profile Builder
Define your own Observation Classes and the Fields you record against them, in the order you work and in the language you work in, so the form an inspector fills in is the one your team built. Pro and Enterprise, with free access for Prospector at launch.
Observations rebuilt
Groups with live counts, multi select with shift click, and bulk actions to move, group and delete. A filter that works by geometry type and Observation Class at once, and which also hides matching measurements in the 3D scene so the list and the scene stay in step.
A rebuilt detail panel
Data, Properties, Images and Files in a panel that resizes, collapses and stays where you put it. Attach and preview files without leaving it, and give any Observation a colour of its own that follows it everywhere, including into the PDF report.
Sharper 3D navigation
Simpler camera controls with Freelook panning and momentum, a cleaner scene, sharper measurement lines, and a Go to Observation that flies in and frames the Observation square to the surface it sits on.
A new home for reports
Report building moves out of a blocking dialog into its own area, with the finished PDF previewable in the platform, section plans captured by clicking a face in the 3D view, and a create form that fills in author, company, language and units for you.

Renamed: Annotations are now Observations, and Annotation Templates are now Observation Profiles. Your data is unchanged, only what it is called.

Also new: Direct drawing on images with move, rotate, resize and redraw handles, a refreshed interface with new typography, and consistent dialog and keyboard behaviour throughout.

Removed: Express projects are retired as of this release, along with the separate Cameras and Images area and several report options that are now always applied rather than switchable. Full detail in the release notes.

Bug fixes: Fixed permission denied showing a blank screen instead of a proper page, a failed licence lookup emptying the organisation area for non administrators, statistics showing a misleading zero when they failed to load, permission checks on Profiles and uploads being scoped wrongly, and sign out failing when the same account was open in more than one tab.

Local Tilesets, Automatic Quality Optimisation & Redesigned Upload

15 March 2026

This release focuses on simplifying project creation, improving performance, and expanding compatibility with common photogrammetry workflows used by inspection professionals.

Local tileset support
Projects using local (non-georeferenced) coordinate systems now automatically detected and rendered correctly. Supports Metashape, Bentley iTwin Capture, and DJI Terra.
Automatic rendering quality
3D models now load with optimised quality settings automatically, saved per project for consistent rendering across sessions and devices.
Redesigned upload workflow
Full-screen upload interface with pause/resume, faster image thumbnails, zoomable preview, structured validation feedback, and AI model selection during setup.

Bug fixes: Fixed RealityScan camera orientations, rendering issues on certain georeferenced tilesets, interrupted upload resumption, and project setup data not persisting between steps.

3D Tiles, Annotation Templates & Media Attachments

27 February 2025

A significant feature release adding powerful new capabilities for inspection teams managing complex, multi-site projects. 3D tiles projects enable much larger datasets to be handled efficiently, while annotation templates save time on repeat inspection types.

3D tiles projects
Handle much larger 3D datasets efficiently, ideal for complex infrastructure assets spanning large areas.
Custom annotation templates
Create reusable annotation templates for repeat inspection types, saving time on each new project.
Media attachments
Attach documents, videos, and other media files directly to findings and inspection records.

Section Tool, Precision Measurements & Colour Corrections

6 November 2024

The Section tool is a major addition, giving inspection engineers an additional perspective plane to slice through facades and virtual surfaces of assets. Combined with sub-centimetre measurement precision, this release significantly improves the depth of inspection analysis available.

Section tool
Create cross-section views through 3D models, an additional perspective on different facades or virtual surfaces.
1cm measurement precision
Length measurements now accurate down to 1 centimetre for detailed structural assessments.
Image colour corrections
Edit image colour corrections directly within the platform to improve visual analysis accuracy.
