What’s New in
Twinsity
Every improvement, fix, and new feature, in one place. Updated with each release.
Open Twinsity →New Projects Home, Observation Profile Builder & Rebuilt Interface
The largest release in Twinsity’s history. The interface has been rebuilt from the ground up, project management has moved into a single home, and a new builder lets your team define exactly what it records against an Observation and how.
Renamed: Annotations are now Observations, and Annotation Templates are now Observation Profiles. Your data is unchanged, only what it is called.
Also new: Direct drawing on images with move, rotate, resize and redraw handles, a refreshed interface with new typography, and consistent dialog and keyboard behaviour throughout.
Removed: Express projects are retired as of this release, along with the separate Cameras and Images area and several report options that are now always applied rather than switchable. Full detail in the release notes.
Bug fixes: Fixed permission denied showing a blank screen instead of a proper page, a failed licence lookup emptying the organisation area for non administrators, statistics showing a misleading zero when they failed to load, permission checks on Profiles and uploads being scoped wrongly, and sign out failing when the same account was open in more than one tab.
Local Tilesets, Automatic Quality Optimisation & Redesigned Upload
This release focuses on simplifying project creation, improving performance, and expanding compatibility with common photogrammetry workflows used by inspection professionals.
Bug fixes: Fixed RealityScan camera orientations, rendering issues on certain georeferenced tilesets, interrupted upload resumption, and project setup data not persisting between steps.
3D Tiles, Annotation Templates & Media Attachments
A significant feature release adding powerful new capabilities for inspection teams managing complex, multi-site projects. 3D tiles projects enable much larger datasets to be handled efficiently, while annotation templates save time on repeat inspection types.
Chinese Language, AI Improvements & High-Res Reports
Expanding Twinsity’s global reach with full Chinese language support across both the UI and generated reports. AI detection improvements and better image handling round out this release.
Section Tool, Precision Measurements & Colour Corrections
The Section tool is a major addition, giving inspection engineers an additional perspective plane to slice through facades and virtual surfaces of assets. Combined with sub-centimetre measurement precision, this release significantly improves the depth of inspection analysis available.
PIX4Dmatic, Organisation Management & Japanese Language
Integration with PIX4Dmatic opens up a new photogrammetry workflow for teams already in the PIX4D ecosystem. Organisation management brings enterprise-level user and access control to larger teams.
