These features, along with general interface usability upgrades will leverage the workflow and the output of the inspection projects.
We’re thrilled to bring AI-powered defect detection to Express Projects. While clustering of defects isn’t possible without a 3D model, AI can still analyze images individually. This feature is especially useful for scenarios like power line inspections, where a 3D model might not be necessary.
Keep in mind that duplicate detections may occur if the same defect appears in overlapping images, but this feature offers a valuable way to harness AI for image-only projects.
To accommodate users in different regions, our application now supports both metric and imperial measurement units. With a simple toggle in the settings, you can seamlessly switch between meters and yards. Reports can also be generated using your preferred measurement system, providing greater flexibility for global teams.
Want your PDF reports to look even better? We’ve enhanced how original project images are handled, allowing users to include high-resolution images in their reports. Simply enable the “Use highest image resolution” option during project creation to take full advantage of this feature.
Best of all, we’ve also optimized the way reports are generated, ensuring that higher-quality images don’t lead to larger file sizes. You get the best of both worlds: better image quality and lighter PDFs.
Express projects (projects without 3D models, that use only images) are now even more versatile. We’ve resolved challenges related to portrait images, which are common in ground-based inspections using mobile devices. This enhancement ensures that both landscape and portrait images work seamlessly in our platform, giving you greater flexibility across different project types.
To better serve our global users, we’ve added Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese to our application. Now, you can switch the user interface (UI) to both of the Chinese languages and generate PDF reports in these new languages. By supporting both variations, we aim to cater to the diverse needs of Chinese-speaking people. Feedback is always welcome to help us refine this translation even further.
The Section tool supports multiple sections, and we’ve introduced a key feature: North direction indicators for each section in your PDF reports. This is especially valuable for projects with symmetrical structures, such as fuel tanks, where orientation matters. For new projects, this feature is ready to use immediately. For existing projects, users can update sections by re-selecting the relevant face to include the North indicator.
We’ve made several updates to enhance usability, including:
